Paris Art Contest 2018 est arrivé à son terme. Nombre de candidatures de très bon niveau ont été proposées par des artistes de tous pays (Chine, Inde, USA, Japon … et de toute l’Europe), de tous âges, de tous styles. Après les délibérations enthousiastes du Jury, il a été convenu que devant la qualité de certains dossiers, nous devions adapter les prix. Il a été décidé de nominer un 1er Prix, trois second prix ex-æquo et un 3ème prix.
Paris Art Contest 2018 has come to an end. Number of applications of very good level were proposed by artists of all countries (China, India, USA, Japan … and all the Europe), of all ages, of all styles. After the enthusiastic deliberations of the Jury, regarding the quality of certain files, it was agreed that we had to adjust prices. It was decided to nominate a 1st Prize, three second prize ex-æquo and a 3rd prize
1er Prix / First Award: Mélanie Pasquier (peinture, painting)
2ème Prix ex-æquo / 2nd Award : Siméon Colin (dessin, drawing), Soumisha Dauthel (peinture, painting) et Saïto Mitsuaki (peinture, painting)
3ème prix / 3rd Award: Fiona White (peinture, painting)

This is the question Luc Berthier, a gallery owner for over twenty years, has been asking himself.
By setting up PARIS ART CONTEST, an international competition, Galerie Luc Berthier , close to the Musée Picasso, in the Paris district of contemporary art galleries and of fashion, wishes to provide world-wide artists with the opportunity to be exhibited in arts historic capital, Paris.
PARIS ART CONTEST (“Concours d’Art de Paris”) is open to all photographers and painting or drawing artists from any country and without age-limitation.
THE GALLERY AWARDS
The first winner will be granted:
A one-month personal exhibition on the Galerie Luc Berthier premises.
Design and edition of a catalogue dedicated to the exhibition.
Transportation and insurance of the art-works to and from Paris whatever the country of origin.
Invitation of the winner for the preview. Transportation and a three-day hotel accommodation offered by the gallery.
Marketing of the art-works during the exhibition and further on, both on the gallery premises and online, under the French deontological conditions for artists - which are the best in the world - for a two-year minimum duration.
The second winner will be granted:
A one-month group exhibition set up by the gallery in Paris.
Marketing of the art-works during the exhibition and further on, both on the gallery premises and online, under the French deontological conditions for artists, for a two-year minimum duration.
The third winner will be granted:
Marketing of the art-works online, under the French deontological conditions for artists, for a two-year minimum duration.
ORGANISATION OF THE PARIS ART CONTEST
Applicants will be able to register (online registration only) for three months.
Submissions will be collected and presented to the jury.
Composition of the jury
Jean-Pierre Arnoux, gallery-owner in Paris for 32 years, Founding-President of “Art Saint Germain-des-Prés” for 20 years, Treasurer and Vice-President of the “Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art” – PCAG (Professional Committee of Art Galleries) for 9 years.
Elena Cardenas Malagodi, curator, art collector.
Yves Créhalet, writer, curator, former entrepreneur in communication, jury member for the “Salon d’Automne”, the “Prix Paul Ricard” and the “Prix Accor”.
Viviane Esders, expert in fine art photography, former gallery-owner, curator.
Thierry Lagache, former General-Secretary of the “Fondation BNP Paribas” (Switzerland), initiator of the New HEAD Fondation Paribas Art Awards.
Luc Berthier, gallery-owner in Paris for 22 years, member of the PCAG, expert for the CNE, curator, Founding-President of the Paris Art Contest.
The jury will select the first three winners and will make its decision within one month after the registration deadline. The three award-winners will be contacted by Luc Berthier, organising president.
